Aeroforce gauge display screen acting funny with cell phone charger

I have an Aeroforce gauge among many others. Living in Anchorage the temp has dropped quite a bit and sometimes the display has been acting funny on my Aeroforce gauge.

For instance, when I plug my Verizon factory cell phone charger into my truck's 12v port (where the cigarette lighter goes), the screen on the gauge turns really bright green, almost washing itself out, and then slowly fades back to normal.

Sometimes this happens when a phone is plugged into the charger, but not always.

The Aeroforce is plugged into the OBDII port. I haven't touched the wiring on the 12v ports at all.

What's going on here folks?

That's strange. I've had things plugged into both power points, even at the same time, and never saw any unusual activity on my Aeroforce Scangauge.

Set the gauge to read battery voltage and watch to see what the voltage does when you plug the charger in.

I do.... the voltage doesn't move... but when the gauge is set to the voltage setting is when it happens the worst.

I have dual AeroForce gauges and havnt seen anything like that happen. The guys over at AeroForce are pretty nice people. I would give them a call and ask to speak to a tech and tell them what is happening, perhaps they can point you in the right direction of where to look for an issue...
