Be sure that wire is about ten-gauge, and fine-stranded.

Ok still no power to brakes at the plug. I did some more testing. When I manually activate brakes I get about 12 volts to blue wire at back of controller but when I use the brake pedal I only get about 3volts and I still get trailer disconnected display even with trailer hooked up. Any ideas?
