96 F250 powerstroke Diesel - when I turned the ignition off the truck shuts off but all accessories stay on. Is there a fuse to check or do I need to replace the ignition switch?
Radio, inside lights, wipers all stay on. had to disconnect both batteries to get it to shut off.
Yea would depend on full and exact list of what stays on and what doesn't but sounds like one segment in the ignition switch doesn't return to the off position when you turn the key off.
Feeds the BLK-Lt GRN wire coming out of the ignition to in cab fuse box fuses 2,6,11 and 14.
The exact same fuses that are live when key is turned all the way back to "Accessory" position.
That does bring the Actuator rod and or switch adjustmen into question too though, be sure and check that out before simply replacing switch.
