Sputtering start up
After my truck sits for a few days it sputters on start up and then goes to normal idle after 5-10 seconds. Any ideas whats going on? I cranks right over and fires up it just has an irratic and sputtering idle. Only does it after sitting a few days.

do you turn the key to run and then wait a sec. or two until you crank the engine to let the fuel pump build pressure.Could be a weak pump although a fuel filter would be the first thing to check if its fuel related.It could also be bad gas or condensation in the tank and on the plugs depending on the humidity. So after saying that it could be worn plugs also which would lead us to think about any electrical problems,which in turn would lead to engine management controls and emissions etc. etc.
I think a little more info would help answer your question. Miles,maintenance,other problems. Even the weather can have an effect.Just trying to help.
