OK so here's the run down. Started truck this morning everything was fine drove about a hundred miles to and from my job. Got home and parked the truck everything was still fine. Come out about two hours later truck started up fine and went to back up to garage to load up tools and there no go . So I popped hood to see if the throttle cable had broke and it hadn't. Went to move throttle with my hand at the injection pump and couldn't any suggestions or a way to fix this. Thanks any help is appreciated .
OK so a lil update shut truck off after fuming for a bit and went back out and can move it now but not while truck is running what it could be is beyond me. Is it a possibility of vapor lock or something similar.
Yes Chevy that's what im saying has me stumped . IP is only 40,000 miles old its a reman with a caterpillar sticker on that the previous owner had put on .
I'd disconnect the throttle cable and cruise cable and check it again just to eliminate everything else. If it still does it then something has to be broken inside that IP.
Be careful puttin the top back on, i dont remember the specifics but you can easily put them on wrong and redline the engine on startup, bypasses the governor.
To put the top back on you need to rig up a hot wire to the solenoid and ground the top. Energizing the solenoid in the top puts everything in its proper place.
