I was busy today replacing hot water and haven't had time to look at truck. Where exactly do I hook up the jumper wire to the solenoid in the IP and any pictures or diagrams would help.
I don't remember which connector is for the fuel shut off solenoid, just plug each one in until you see the solenoid activate. Before you start the truck remove the air cleaner and have a clip board handy, if you don't get it together right it will go full throttle and you won't be able to shut it down. If this happens all you have to do is lay the clip board over the intake and it will kill the engine. I've never had this happen to me personally but I've heard stories and you want to be prepared before hand rather then scrambling for something while the truck is screaming full throttle.
Thanks for the info and I got it fixed and what caused it is a mystery . So here goes. I took the air cleaner all the way of and was looking over everything very carefully now that it was daylight and the piece that the throttle cable hooks to was very sticky and seemed gummed up so it hit it good with degreaser and it moves smoothly now . But at the same time I'm have to run water over the IP to get it to start now when its warm this just happened so my question I have 90,000 on pump and I read all over that at about a hundred thousand they should be replaced along with injectors . How long will the pump last like this . I need about a month is that doable. Thanks again
