I have a 2005 5.4L and I was just driving on a strait away going about 45mph and all of a sudden the
throttle wouldnt accelerate,it was almost like I turned it off.But the truck was
still running. I was lucky enough to pull into a parking lot. As I sat there
with it still running I was pushing on the throttle and it wouldnt rev up at
all.The transmission was still working as I put it in nutreul and it would coast
since I was on a little incline then I would put it back into drive and it would
engage but still no throttle and the wrench was lit on the dash.So I turned it
off and started it back up and the throttle worked again! What is up with that.
Anybody ever had this happen.Im a little worried about driving it since I have
two young boys that are with alot and its too cold to get stranded. It was
about 19 degrees out,but I dont think that has anything to do with this. Any
help greatly apprieciated.
I've read about this problem on here before. Try doing an advanced search on the problem using different words, like throttle, gas pedel or what ever you can think of. Good Luck.
