Negative Ghost Rider, those are aftermarket mirrors. As I posted above, post #13, they don't have that ability.

I've yet to see aftermarket mirrors have that function.

I still think the extra wires on the new mirrors are for the lights....I didn't think the oem paddle mirrors had lights....but then the paddles don't telescope either...so I dunno wth is going on. I guess if you pulled hard enough, the paddles would extend away from the truck, but as soon as you let go they'd hit the ground.

I'm confused.

Like nearly everything there were options. Some years offered different features too.
Aftermarket '08+ tow mirrors are great and on my wish list

When I bought my excursion it came with just the heated telescopic mirrors! The dealer switched them with mirrors that had turn signals and heated telescopic mirrors they had extra wires too. the extra wires were for running lights as the truck they came off of was a F350 Pickup with running lights.
