Stupid question about heated mirrors

Just got done installing a set of 08 mirrors on my 06 XLT to replace the stock paddle mirrors. Anyway, my truck didnt have heated mirrors originally, and my new 08's are heated. All the wiring was there for the heat, so that end of it is all hooked up. My question is this, where is the switch located on your trucks that have heated mirrors? Would like to get the heat feature to work. thanks guys,

Scott

There is no switch for the heated mirrors. They are turned on automaticaly when you turn the key on. If you still have your owners manual, it explains the heated mirror operation in there. Hope this helps.

Confirming info above. The stock 2005's were automatic on, all the time.

On my 2008 there is a small switch on dashboard. As you installed 2008 mirrors, my bet is that you must have a switch.

It's your call; you can wire (w/relay) them on with the key, or add a toggle so you control it. (I'd make the toggle setup dependent on the key being on- so you don't forget and drain the batteries overnight).
