T case shifter.

So following one of the threads on here about removing and rebuilding the T case shifter. Mine will not shift into 4LO. I've removed it from the truck. (95 F250 XLT). I've sprayed it, beat on it, I even drilled a 1/4" hole in top of it for a zerk but I sprayed PB blaster in it to loosen it up. This thing will not come apart and if I beat on it any harder I'm afraid I'll just break it anyway. So here's a link on Ebay. Do you guys think this is a pretty good unit to buy as a replacement?

when I replaced my clutch I removed my shifter and found that it was also stuck. so I sprayed it well and beat on it. I got it to move but then broke off the pin keeping it from going to 4Lo and now it works fine execpt that I have to know if I am in 4hi or lo by where the handle is.

I think the pre-92 shifters will fit, and they don't break as easily as the newer ones do. You can spot a pre-92 shifter by the gate mechanism. The newer ones you have to push down to get past 4H, the older ones you move the stick sideways.

If mine breaks, I'll be going this route. Hell I might even replace it anyway, as PM.
