Well I thought I posted something here but .......it went somewhere
Bad power steering fluid can cause problems. I would get one
of the filters that Ford puts in after a flush or one of the microfine
filters with the magnets and run with that in for a few thousand miles.
You may want to re-flugh the system.
Replaced the month old hydroboost thinking maybe it was a bad rebuilt. Put the new one in and thing were great for a day and a half. Now I have the same issues again!!!!! Now what??? I'm at my wits end and have no idea what is causing this. Any thoughts?
Lets get some thing set.
You have what year and model?
You have flushed both the brakes and power steering systems
Replaced the master cylinder and Hydroboost.
Greased the caliper pins.
The brake peddle is not returning to top at low RPMs.
How is the steering acting when at low RPMs? Any noises
or stiff operations? What size tires stock or over sized?
Because you say it happens at low RPMs I would have to
check the pump output pressures. There is a procedure
for checking that system.
I can do some looking in the shop manuals that I have
access to and they are the 03 & 06 years.

So all the other tests fail that I posted above? That is where I would start.
2006 f250 4x4 6.0 180k. Stock 275/65r20. The brake pedal is sticky and sometimes at the top and binds up. I have to let up and reapply pedal to get the brakes to work. And they are not returning all the way to the top. Worse at lower rpms. have done these , in order:
Replaced the hydroboost and the brakes were great for several days then problem came back.
Flushed power steering
Installed inline filter for power steering
Installed new master cylinder from ford
Flushed brake fluid.
Replaced the master again. Brakes were fine for about a day and a half. Now there doing the same thing.
A little moan. I think the pump is noisier than the other, but it's was replaced two weeks ago. I was having steering issues but those are gone after the new one was installed
Are you using FORD OEM Hydroboost Pump???If not its time too!!
I think it works good for a Day or two then dies Got to be the Pumps
Steering and Braking issues together??The Only thing those Systems have in Common is the Pump AFAIK I did look into the system when I did a Hydroboost system Flush FWIW
My only thought is If you DO NOT have Both Steering and braking issues Together or At Same time right now Might just be the Hydro pump hasn't completely failed Yet Like the time before when it Completely failed
Update. Took the damn thing to the dealer and they said that the power steering pump filter was causing a back up of fluid and pressure not allowing the fluid to flow. They took the filter out and they said they test drove it and it worked fine. Not sure I believe they did that because the pedal bound up backing out of the parking when I left. The next day I called them and now they say that possibly the filter ruined some seals in the hydroboost. Not sure about that but maybe. I ordered another hydroboost from autozone but this time a different brand. Third times a charm???.? Installed today and it seems fine ....for now. I will keep you posted.
