The reason I asked is because I am buying a 79 F250 with the super cab and it has the 2 jump seats in but I've seen one with the little bench seat in the back as well.
There were only the two choice that a person could choose from when ordering the truck. Either way though truck is still a supercab as per Ford's reference. The jump seats folded up for added storage and the bench seat folded down to lay flat for added cargo space. Those choices remained that way until 96 on the 150's and 98 on heavy duty 250-350 trucks. My parents had an 87 with the rear bench in it. And either seat choice was vey uncomfortable to sit in for an extended period of time. And eventually some aftermarket company made a kit that an owner could install to lift the rear bench seat for a little improved comfort.
Over the years, friends of mine have probably owned at least one of every truck around. I just never paid any attention to which one was called what.
I remember the name, just not what it was attached to.
