I need some help.......I was driving me truck a while ago in town hit a dang pot hole and the engine died....and would not restart....
Let it sit for a few min. and it started then died..It continues to do the same thing....now
$165...Rollback .... I am now home with this lovely truck
It seems to be electrical....just my guess.......when I hit that hole all the gauges was off as soon as I looked. Also some times when it starts ....it will not rev up ...mash throttle to floor.
Wait to start light has always came on and the tach moves. even when it would not start.....The starter would spin the engine fast but it would not fire. after awhile it would start then shut right back off...Just like you cut the switch off.
I will run it up and down the drive way some...with the chip out..
Can't afford another tow..
AAA....I have had AAA for the last 6 yrs..... I only used it once and the wife used it once.
It ran out in August of this year...I have got 3 letters from them on my table right now trying to get me to renew it
Made about 6 trips up and down the drive way. The drive way is about 500 feet. 3 times in 4x4 low with the tow on and 3 times in 4x4 high.
WFO......
Never missed a lick even when I over did it just a bit and had to lock the brakes down and slide to a stop ....Did not cut off.
I still don't trust the dang thing....may go into the pasture tomorrow and hit some hard bumps....I will leave the chip out..
Thanks for all the help...Today is the first day I have been out since fishing trip to the coast 2 weeks ago...Got sick as a dog the second day down there..stayed a week and came home
Also the pcm connectors need to be cleaned off to get good connection. When you put the chip back in, take the pcm out and put some tape around the chip to keep it tight to the pcm.
