Need Help No start

So been following this forum for several year but never joined til now and these first post. Sorry for it being long so bare with me here. I want to see what other people's ideas are before I break down and send truck to dealership.
So I have 2001 f-250 7.3 185,xxx normal upgrades intake exhaust. 8months (10k) ago put in unlimited diesels stage 1 single shot injectors with gearhead ts6 chip and tuneing. So here's my problem couple weeks ago wife took truck to work was acting up on her. Motor shut off and the wait to start like came on with cel and water in fuel light. Stopped truck turned it off restarted everything fine. On her way home did same thing she got it home I took it out couldn't get it to do it. Week later I'm driving it does the same thing. Got it home checked everything over didn't find anything wrong. Couple hour later went to go to store truck wouldn't start turns over but no start noticed cel was on but no wait to start light. So started digging through couldn't find anything wrong. Checked all fuses swapped #30 pcm fuse and relay still same issue. Jumped on the forums an looked into bad pcm checked getting power and good ground so sent it out to get refurbished. Got it back told me had bad microchip. So put chip in installed in truck, same issue so I took chip out. Truck started drove it around blocked ran great, got home reinstalled chip because of the injectors need it in. Boom back to what it was doing before cel an no wait to start light. Can't get any off my scanners to connect either took chip back out and nothing. I'm stumped. I'm leaning towards issue with chip but not really sure because it's still doing same thing with it out. And I'm moving from Virginia to San Diego in 2 weeks because wife got military orders out there. What everyone think?

So to give a little up date finally heard back from Gearhead and after about hour and half on the phone we came to the conclusion that the ts6 chip fryed the pcm again after just having it fixed. So manning up and just buying a new pcm and go from there hope it works. And HUGE shoot out to the guys at Gearhead for helping me out and hooking me up with a new chip. They for sure now have my business.

I have a Hydra chip from GH and they are top notch in my opinion.

What is the short version of the story on how you came to the conclusion that the chip fried the the PCM?

You feel comfortable with putting another chip on there when that is what caused your problems?

Also, unless you had the PCM flashed for them, I was under the impression that single shots would make the truck run like crap without a chip.

Ok sorry rereading it kinda confusing to others in my head sounded good.
So first round when pcm went it took out the chip(tuner) making both bad but I didn't know that. So I got the pcm fixed and didn't get the chip looked at. (My own fault lessons learned)
Got pcm back and when I reinstalled chip because it was bad it cooked the freshly fixed pcm. Making them both bad. So now I'm back to getting new pcm and new chip.

@Sous
I wish I did hydra when I did my injectors but o well.

Yes cuz I've had a ts6 on the truck since I bought it in 2009. And only will run a ts6 or hydra ever again.

You don't have to get the pcm flashed to run single shots but you have to get certain tuning for it on the tuner. Like now my ts6 will only work on other trucks with single shots.

Ya I've heard nothing but good things about GH and today they diffidently showed why. Biggest help I've gotten with a dealer. Taking time out of their day to help me figure these out.
