I put a 6.9 in my 79 F150 and it's just got a Dana 44 HP and 9" rear end... It's holding up fine, I also had the driveshafts from the donor rig (late 86 F250) shortened to fit so I've got F250 shafts. Other than that, it's got like a 4 or 6" suspension lift and it's holding up fine. I've put near 1,000 miles on it now and no problems. But mine is a 79 and I know the d44 I've got is a lot better/more desirable than the stuff in the newer Broncos. Also be sure the swap isn't a hack job.
Anybody know of any or seen any?
I might be trading my truck for one if its nice enough, wanted some opinions
You talking about a 1/2 ton 2 door Bronco? Or a 3/4 ton or 1 ton Centurion? There's no such thing as a diesel Bronco without someone swapping it in. But the Centurion is a special customized 4 door truck that is the Excursion's predecessor.
