I'm sorry you feel that 'posting a follow up' (something appreciated on other FTE subforums) after deciding the hell with it (when the best advice given here is 'use a hammer') is snubbing your precious ego.

and as for the "use a hammer" advice, Dan has a sick sense of humor.
but he does know how to fix things with more than just a hammer, sometimes he even uses a pair of pliers to crimp brake lines when he has brake problems.
as for the precious ego part. most of these guys have egos so big they have their own zip codes.
As requested, here's the takeapart video. Prior to filming this, I had previously dismantled it and cleaned the grease out so the disassembly on camera wouldn't be messy (don't want to clean crap off the camera lens yet again.)
