Are trucks like these getting that kind of money, or are they selling for more realistic prices? Those are some big numbers on some of those trucks.

 

This is every post in the Eastern CT section. Honestly, they usually never get reposted, which makes me believe they are selling for these prices. It's temping to give mine up here before I move back to WA this summer and start over on another truck.

Markman Auto Parts, located 5 miles north of Albion, IL on Illinois Route 130, will be liquidating their salvage yard in the beginning of February. We have around 700 vehicles and 2/3 of these will be crushed. Due to poor economy and location, we are saddened to say that we are going to be doing this. We have inventory ranging from 1938 through 2005. We have everything but foreign vehicles. Tons of good usable parts. Engines, transmissions, rear ends, etc. We are open Monday through Friday 8-4 pm CST.. Saturdays 8-noon.

 

Sometimes I just wish I lived a little closer to things like this, sad to know they are going in the crusher.

Although an occasional realistically priced truck comes up on my local craigslsit, it's mostly delusioned people who think their stuff is worth a fortune. Best deals are driving around and find ones that haven't moved for a while. Often the Imona truck (as in Imona fix it up someday) but sometimes reality has set in and they are tired of it setting there.
I got a free 78 F150 SC 4x4 just by asking last month, the rather uncommon leaf spring front F150, 400, 4 barrel C6/205.

 

No boom in the back. Also has a hydraulic flatbed for more money.
