Keep dome light off after key off?
I just bought an 04 F350 Powerstroke. I drive a lot at night. Every time I shut it off the dome light immediately comes on and it is driving me crazy! I want the light to come on when I open the door, that's it.
Is there any way to stop it from doing this? Or am I going to have to start looking for wires to cut?

What I did was I wired in a rocker switch for the dome light through the fuse box. Basically what this does is you can turn on and off the dome light when you want through the switch. Turn the switch off, no dome lights whether the door is Open/Closed, Locked/Unlocked there is nothing. Switch on, back to stock feature.

I am a bit foggy on this memory but someone was talking about a programming option
for law enforcement vehicles that would allow them to stay dark.
The down side to this is you would have to visit Ford or know someone that
has a IDS unit to program this in.
