im getting a 99 f350 base model with sealed beams. i want to convert ugly front end to a nicer looking one. i found a kit that comes with 3 prong wiring converter. was wondering if this is dangerous or would it be safe conversion.
would a black version of the headlight match the oem black or grey grill decently? or would it be better to go chrome and replace grillo with chrome one?
I would do the black look since it would match the grille and bumper or you can look into the 05 swap and get 05 Harley lights. If you look up 99 to 05 clip swap it should come up.

i expected such a response but for my needs it is my best choice. i need something i can get my wheelchair n and t has built in ramp that just needs a threshold wedge and traction tape to work. need something reliable and these are professionally maintained. and i want to became a avon rep and sell stock out back of truck set up on a corner. so a box truck can haul my power wheelchair tables a popup tent and a bunch tables to display inventory. and it will be reliable since it was professional maintained. and a price i can afford.
That's actually awesome, I thought that I might have some fun and wanted to see a response. That truck is an awesome platform to start with and you are correct on their maintenance. You can do so many things to these trucks and make them to your own personality. I always think that a customization that one does to their trucks reflects on their personality. Good luck an all!!
I personal like the black ones. My truck is an E99 and had the ugly stock lights so the first thing I did was changed them over to the 05 -07 style, Wish I had went with Harley style. All in all I have to go back in there and rewire them with plugs instead of butt connectors due to corrosion. I'm not sure what the depth is on the ones you have but I had to trim the grill support to get mine to fit. When I'm back in there for the wiring I have to do some more trimming, going try and do this tomorrow. Will take some photos so if you have to trim you have an idea.
plz dont laugh its vinyl wrapped in white orange and charcoal
We don't make fun of anyone here we may tease each other but we are all here to help each other. Everyone has different needs and from what it sounds like that truck will suit your needs nicely .
Two things.
The lights should help with the night driving and look good in the process.
The second thing is I would have someone that is good with automotive
electrical set things up so that you don't have the adaptor plug and also
do a relay set so your not having all the voltage loss from the stock wiring
harness. That way you get a bit more light out of it and remove a point
of increased resistance with that adaptor plug.
