Holy crap what a pain. Did I mention I'm really good at extracting tough bolts?
I've done many tough extractions @ work as a steel worker, shipyard worker
Got new bolts.
I'm just hoping where the stuck ones came out with the little torch bottle I used it won't leak from there.
In a perfect situation I'd pull timing cover, tap holes to 3/8 , reseal timing chain and the rest.
Reason I don't is timing chain cover has oil pan bolts too. Gonna risk it and just goop silicone on the side in that area.
Pump done. Seems good with no leaks.
Running it now. Top hose nice and warm, lower is cool as I guess it should.
The out line to heater core is real hot and return not at all. Is this a sign of bad heater core now???
I was able to blow through it easy with my mouth, how could it be bad???
may be possible that some of the tubes that flow the coolant are blocked in the core... how fast was the flow back out? you also said you could blow freely through it but that doesn't mean anything if not enough flow... it can't be anything else since this setup don't have the valve I posted about in earlier posts... ::scratching head:: how were the impellers on the pump? Just curious

Impellers seemed to be ok. At the end of the day the pump was a good thing with those crap bolts being extracted! I lubed the sides with never seize and threads.
Reaching up under glove box the plastic around where heater core would be is HOT. Touchable but not for too long.
We're missing something or its gotta be heater core!!!
