Spraying w/ WD40 will just loosen them up temporarily. I had to do the spray, every 3 months or so, since it kept re-occuring.
I smartened up and pulled the shaft out of my '04, loosened them up, then got a grease gun needle adapter, snuck it under the rubber boots on the u-joints and pumped teflon bearing grease into the bearings. Did that about 3 years ago and no problems since.
