Good call and thanks for the thought. I have the bottom two gauges on the scangauge set to coolant and oil temps and the oil temp has been consistent. I've got those two on the bottom and now ICP and FICM voltage up top.

What about the EBP Sensor? Can you monitor EBP and see what it reads when it's surging? I'm learning the 6.0 too. Don't let me derail you from what you're already doing. Just throwing it out there.

Nope, not problems at all. I appreciate ALL feedback, believe me. I replaced the MAP and EBP sensors about three months ago and have checked the EBP gauge when it was surging... everything seemed within normal ranges.

Hokie post these Values
ICP
ICPV
FICM lp
FICM vp
koeo, low, high at 2500, keep the gauge on these and when it acts up try to get them one at a time .
Did you install the Blue spring, may need to look at fuel pressure, the scan gauge wont read this.

'nother update: It hasn't done now it two days, but I did notice that the ICPV seemed to be a little low at low idle at .75 and 660 ICP.

Once there's ANY gas applied, it's over 1.0 and it's running fine. It still hasn't choked or surged since I first posted this, but I thought it was always supposed to be around or over 1?

I think ICP and ICPV are different was of displaying info from the same sensor. The relationship is like this:

Press Press Sensor
(PSI) (MPA) Voltage
0 0. .02v
200. 1.5 .4v
400 3. 0.73v
600 4 .96v
800 5.5. 1.2v
1000 7. 1.4v
1200 8. 1.6v
1400 9.7 1.9v
1600 11. 2.1v
1800 12.4 2.3v
2000 13.8 2.6v
2200 15.2 2.8v
2400 16.5 3v
2600 18 3.3v
2800 19.3 3.5v
3000 20.6 3.8v

Could be, but would that mean my sensor is shot? My PSI was 660 but my voltage was only .75.

If you using a SGII to monitor you might want to double check codes, particularly th MTH #'s. It could also be related to the tune, some stratigies change reported sensor values to get the desired result.

Take these values like this
koeo(key on engine off) low (idle no AC or radio) high ( 2500 rpm)
ICP
koeo-0 low-625.5 high-1400/1450 operating range=0-4045
ICPV
koeo- 0.2 low-1.0 high-1.8 operating range=0.15-4.7
The cooler weather mite be playing a role it did on mine, once the temps went up so did the Issue. we need to get the values of the test first. then while driving will see what takes place

Is there a cross reference part or place I can get this pigtail other than the dealer? I thought I'd read it somewhere before.

Thanks again for all the help!

I'm sure there is a Motorcraft number also but I don't have the crossover for it.

An AP0021 pigtail will work also.

Keep an eye on the parameters that 04badford posted in #19. I would also watch the IPR duty cycle and vref as Rusty said.

The ICP Pig tail from ford
5c3Z-122224A connector-3- $ 83.33
I called our ford dealer here about a cross over Number they said no crossover that this # fits all 6.0 years , there could be a after market # . Hokie you may want to call International the price might be a little lower or even Riff Raff diesel Products.
