I have a blue x in the power box all of the time, not just during regeneration.

I got the exhaust cleaning message today, looked up at the CTS and no red indicator. The sheer amount of disclaimers you have page through to get the regen started makes me believe Edge fears the worst if they advertise the feature. I personally think it is basically safe albeit loud but there is always someone who may get hurt or damage something or catch something on fire doing a manual regen...or doing it in the garage....in the winter....with the door cracked only an inch.

I can also confirm the red R does show up on the 2011 after the update.
I haven't had an AR in about 400 miles due to towing so I have been curious.

Also, I discovered you can touch the screen for a few seconds at KOEO and the device will turn on. Didn't know that...

You should be able to press enter on the CS devices to turn them on.

Sent from my mind thanks to the Internet and an app.

Just thought I would update on the cold weather issue. Still not freezing but it was 37 this morning and that is well below where it used to refuse to turn on. Unless somebody has experienced different, I would say the update includes the cold weather fix.

I still have not seen the arctic temps that most of you need to be convinced, but so far I've had several mornings in the 25-28 range which would have been well below the temps required for my CTS to act up and it has always started up like a champ since the update. My biggest issue with it not turning on was when using the remote start and that seems to have been addressed as well. Now after a remote start I simply touch the screen and it wakes up. I can't say that I miss that thing screeching at me and refusing to turn on!

My CTS has always required me to touch the screen to wake it up, after remote starting the truck, which if i may say, is one of those features I used to poke fun at people who had (lazy, idiots, why? get a life) a remote start, but I now see who was clueless...me, yep I said it, I am out of the closet and love it. I hope the RS never breaks. But getting back on topic, I think the Edge has always worked that way, where you have to touch it to turn it on after a RS. Mike

Sorry I wasn't clear on that Mike. It always has worked that way, but previously when it was fairly cold, the CTS would not turn on automatically with a regular start nor would it turn on when I touched the screen after a remote start. Either way if it was below 40 degrees, the CTS would make several screeches and just go blank. The only way to get it come on at that point was to unplug it from the port and plug it back in.

Actually in the very beginning with the 2011 trucks, the CTS would not turn on after a remote start even if you touched it. The touch screen to power up feature was added in an early update. There was a case by case patch available for the cold start issue but it was never universally available in a regular update. That is why some of the guys expressed concern about the latest update because they didn't want to lose the cold fix that was already loaded on their CTS.

Coldest day since the update. 24°F this morning and CTS worked fine.
Still have the boost alert sometimes at shutdown though but I haven't put any effort into turning that off.
