Most of the time but not always when I lock the driver's side door from the inside and exit the vehicle the lock will unlock before closing the door. The keys are not in the ignition when this happens. Is this normal?

My 2013 F250 Lariat does not operate like this. If I lock the driver's door while the door is open (using the inside rocker switch), it remains locked after I get out shut it.
Is your door shut at the time you press the LOCK switch?
My thermistor in my driver door isgoing bad and when I go to lock the door, inside or out, it locks temporily, but then unlocks again.
Sounds similar to mine. You can start to hear go bad when it starts shuttering when locking/unlocking.
Many threads here on this issue in the forum.
I'm assuming the door must be open when you hit the button. (because it opens when you pull the door handle anyways) mine does this too, but if i close it from the outside, and use the key fob to lock it, it works perfectly. or if i press it down manually it works fine, so I don't worry about it.
I know this has been beat to death. I have tried both of the auto unlock disable procedures multiple times. My driver's door STILL auto unlocks if I use the lock button on the door. Which forces me to manually push the door **** back down or use the button on my key FOB.
In reading this latest thread I think Heavy Assault inadvertently answered my problem. I also have the key in door open buzzer disconnected by removing one of the wires from the connecter and taping it back.
So am I right if this is done that you can not disable the auto unlock feature? I AM doing the procedures correctly. So this must be the answer. If so can the dealer still disable this via the ECM? B.
