Break lights

Can anyone help? I noticed that my break lights are not working. Checked the fuses . The break light on the cab works fine. The blinkers and emergency flasher work great. i checked the bulbs and nothing wrong there. Truck runs and drives great. But no break lights. Has anyone else had this problem and can help me?

If 4 ways work and turn signals work the circuits to the rear are all ok.
That leaves the multifunction switch as a possible source of the issue.
Good luck.

The multifunction switch is what the turn signal lever is part of.

Multifunction switch

Thanks .
I don't understand how the turn signel lever is part of a break light problem . But it would not surprise me none. Things are not as simple as they was years ago. I really appreciate the response. The break light on the cab works great also. It's just the 2 in the back.

Brake lights are part of the turn signal circuit on any car.
They are controlled from the multifunction switch.
The "multifunction" does a lot of control functions from operate the windshield washer to wiper speed to flash to pass and turn signal as well as the 4way switch being involved..
The power comes through it by necessity.
Good luck.

there are only two filaments inside the bulbs. ONe is "dim" and it is the tail lights. The other is "bright" and it is the turn signal and/ or brake light. The multifunction switch determins which function is in service. Acts with the brake pedal
