That has been done and one shop out of Jacksonville even did some kinda video recording or some thing of it and no one has found anything. And like I said before it was with a ford specialist for two weeks and still nothing.
this has been going on for 3 months and it will make my transmission over heat
So the trans temp gauge on the dash shows hot? How often and under what conditions? That gauge is not an accurate gauge btw, more like a warning light. If the trans has been hot enough the fluid will look/smell bad. I'll also second Rich on the EBP sensor, easy enough to pull and inspect it. Hold the tube steady with a second wrench while you loosen the sensor, otherwise the tube will get tweaked. Clean the gunk out gently, run some trimmer line down thru the tube. Tube to the manifold can also get holed by rust etc.
Keep at it and we'll help you get it sorted. Lots more than 4 people here.
The AutoEnginuity scan tool (with Ford bundle) is what many of us use, it's under $400 if you already have a Windows laptop, netbook, or the like. There should be a link about it in my signature. There are other OBDII scan tools than can be installed directly - like ScanGauge.
This soooo sounds like torque converter slip. It slips, it grabs, it slips... and I'm guessing the transmission fluid temperature plays a roll - but that's Mark's forté
I have a 01 f350 that has been to 4 different ford people one of which was a trouble shooter for ford and no one can figure this out hoping someone ha shad this issue. It is going in and out of overdrive no trans codes no lights and I told the computer is commanding it to do so but no one can tell me why it's commanding it to. Has anyone had or heard of this before. Thanks a million Glen
See attached. I wonder if this might be your issue...
Do you have LED tail lights by any chance?
Thanks for the help sorry I didn't mention this earlier but it has a custom built transmission in it. It's a 4r100 but has been up graded with the TC that is direct lock up or something like that so that it doesn't have pads I think they said and up graded Gears its there titanium model. Guys I really appreciate the help I have over 10k in the past 5 yrs in the trans. Ebp sensor really makes since I'm no idiot but not ford mechanic either
I know nothing about this subject, but I think theres a list of people that have AE in this forum somewhere. If you find it, you may be able to bride someone with some beer to help you troubleshoot it. These guys around here are willing to bend over backwards to help others out.

Look in tuglys signature snd click on the B.E.S.T map link that will tell you who has it
i understand how "tunnel vision" affects a diag, so lets get back to the basics. if the trans/pcm is acting like there is a load, then double check all possible loads. many little loads is equal to one large load.
check brakes and driveline for "dragging" ex: sticking brakes, u-joints, bearings, poorly activating LSD, hub locks. all 4 wheals should turn with little effort.
was the truck properly set up for larger tires? shift points, lockup points modified.
are all 4 tires PROPERLY inflated? larger tires create a load, and under inflated tires create a load.
clean EBP sensor and tube, check for a leak in the tube.
any signs of exhaust restrictions?
is the transfer case actually engaged in 2wd, or is the front drive shaft engaged?
a couple of "minor" failures can add up: "the straw that broke the camel's back"
tunnel vision can cause even the best of mechanics to miss the simplest problems.
