Just finished installing my quad custom gauge package from Glow Shift. I went with the white 7 gauges and opted for boost, trans temp, exhaust temp, and fuel pressure. The installation went fairly well. Between getting information on sites like this and the instructions from the manufacturer I was pleased with the finished product. I think the hardest sending unit was the fuel pressure because the location was the hardest to access. The boost got "T" off of the MAP sensor hose, the trans temp off of one of the test ports just above the pan, and the exhaust temp i put in the manifold driver side right before it connects to the up pipe for the turbo. They provide an orange power wire that they suggest hooking up to a headlight source and when the headlights are on the gauges dim approximately 30% but I havent installed that yet. I just want to see how they are for a little while. The gauges are supposed to have key off power source that allows them to recall the last color selected for the gauge but as I found out from customer service that with the super duty trucks they can draw enough power when starting to drop the voltage and it comes back on with the first color in the scheme. That would be my only complaint and its not a big deal. He was actually surprised that all 3 of the electronic gauges didnt reset when starting the vehicle. Now that I can keep track of the trucks vitals I will probably be moving on to a cold air intake either a 6637 from riff raff or a ford ais filter, and then a performance chip. Any recommendations on a chip?
