Temp and boost gauges

I have been wanting to add some gauges to the truck (boost, exhaust, tranny). Since I have been put on a budget by the wife I was wanting your opinion on some "economical" brands. I ran across 2 companies that I haven't heard of, SunPro and Glow Shift. Both of these brands offer a 3 gauge setup with pod for $150-190. Has anyone heard of these brands and how is their quality?

Both of them are junk, IMO. If you are going to spend money on doing something like this, do it right. Go with one of the well-known brands. Spa Digital, Autometer, Isspro, Dipricol, etc.

I'll second that motion. Stick to what Kris listed for brands.

I strictly use Autometer in my race car. No problems at all on the same 10 year old gauges...

x3, spend the money for a good set so you only have to do it once.

x4, Had a buddy that went with Glowshift, bad sending units out of the box - had to be replaced twice by manufacturer, bouncy needles while driving on pavement, bad lighting... etc. SunPros not much better, in fact, are they made by the same people???

Hey now.. They might not be the best, but My dad and I and some friends ,with there imports, have glow shifts. No problems. (holding my breath)

Well i had a problem a couple weeks ago. But my dumb fault. While tugging on some wires i halfway pulled out my power wire. It was jiggling free and causeing the gauge to fluctuate evertime i hit a bump. I plugged it back in and all is good (so far)

I know i will get beat on now. But I am honest and a look for the cheap way out. Somtimes it comes back to haunt me but most times, NOT. I just want to retire early so i keep things cheap as i can and achieve the same result. Hopefully. .

Ive taken out 3 sets of glowshifts for autometers. I like the Dipercol, and isspro lines too. The SPEK gauges offer an insane amount of features but are pricey.

For just a little more money you can get a set of ISSPROs. They're our best selling brand and in the rear instance that you have a problem with them, the service and support is great. If you have any questions on gauges give us a call. We're glad to help.

Yes, I think the ISSpro's are the best. I was saving up for them, But the glow shifts were kinda of handed to me cause i did some work on a lawn tractor for someone. And they bought them for me because my wife mentioned i was saving and i didn't except any money for the lawn tractor Labor. Wish they were ISSpro's. But the glowshifts were givin to me.

After thinking about it, Good point. Guess it isn't a mod. To many beers that night while i was playing around in my profile. The atf/ps thing is more like a maintenance item. Thanks for pointing that out. That is outa There.

EGT was handed to me. I bought Tranny Temp to match.
