New Ford Windshield

Windshield got cracked by a rock truck. Called Farm Bureau Insurance and they told me it's covered 100%, thank you Florida Lawmakers for that statue, and set up an appointment for Glass Doctor to come out. Glass Doctor is an American company using American glass unlike the other big glass company. I watched the guy do the whole project. Glad to see someone who really cares about doing a good job. Took about an hour. Cleaned up everything when done.

Got it tinted that day and it's a Ford windshield. Marked right on it!

Can't complain about 100% coverage! I can get a new windshield for less than my $250.00 deductible! On my Ranger at least.

Did you by chance get the one with "Super Duty" on the top? those are so cool, that's what I'll get IF my darn PPG replacement (by PO) ever gets broken.

Unfortunately all glass companies are forced to use foreign made glass, a lot of it comes from China. Not much of it is made in the US anymore, and even the big companies have to use it for availability and to be able to compete. No company can only sell American glass only. (Glass Doctor was sold to a franchise company)

If you want top quality for your Ford with the logos on top then make sure you insist on original or Carlite. Which is still mostly made here.

When I had mine replaced I had to fight with Progressive to get a carlite one back. They said its a 8 y/o truck, we can't justify putting OEM back in. I said I don't care what you do but only OEM is going back in. About 30 min on the phone but finally got it approved.
