Reset Codes 94 F-250

I realize this is probably a simple thing but I cannot find any clear directions on how to reset the hard codes. I replaced the TPS and need to reset the codes but everyone just says to disconnect the battery which does not reset the hard codes, then they don't go on to explain how to actually reset the codes I need to reset. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Although my local auto shop has an OBD1 reader they are incompetent at best with it and that is not an option for me. THANKS

OBD1 I'll usually unhook the battery, wait about 10 seconds and touch the cable ends together. Reconnect and follow idle learn procedure if it has one. Are you trying to clear a memory code or a hard code? Hard codes set every ignition cycle until the problem is fixed, while a memory code eventually goes away after x amount of ignition cycles with no fault.

I know there is a way to clear codes when you have a code reader like the Equus 3145 attached, but I believe if you simply pull the jumper wire inserted between the STI and SIG_RTN wires while the codes are flashing CM codes will be erased.

Yep, I'm in the process of figuring out my code issues on my OBD1 (actually EEC-IV? anyway, not an OBD2) '97 F-250. To check my codes I put a jumper between the STI and ground (for some reason jumping STI to SIG_RTN didn't seem to work for me).

To clear codes I put the jumper between the STI and ground, turned the key on, and as soon as the CEL started flashing I pulled the jumper wire. I checked codes afterwards and verified only the 111 code, both KOEO and CM.
