Air bag switch
When I first bought my truck (used) the pass. air bag light worked fine and about 2 weeks latter I noticed the light started flashing on the instrument panel and I then noticed I couldn’t turn the pass. bag off. I took it to a friend at the local ford dealer and he checked for any codes and he said the switch is bad but the only thing that is hurting was I couldn’t turn it off. No big deal, but about 6 months latter when I first start the truck up the air bag "OFF" or "ON" (can't remember which) light comes on and I don’t get the light on the instrument panel. 
It has done this several time since but not sure what the cause is? Could I have a loose wire?
99 SD Power Stroke, 4x4, Ext cab, bone stock.

not real familia with air bag operation in ftrucks but sometimes the light flashes in apattern like 2flashes then maybe 3 this would indicate code 23 at least thats how ford australia air bag systems work dont know if this helps but check anyway
