I have a 91 Explorer Xlt, 4.0 that I need to put a fuel pump in. Can any one tell me what other pumps will interchange? Doesn't have to be an explorer, just some options when I go to the junkyard.
Your best bets for interchangeability are:
1. Hollander interchange. The junkyard should have one. My local ones have it or something similar. It may be only available through their computer but they should be able to tell you what will interchange. If not, try your library.
2. Go to an online parts store like Rock Auto. Find the part for your car and then click one of the links next to the part. I think it's the "info" link. It will tell you interchangeability across years and models to some extent.
