Need Some more info, What is the part called that locks down and seals the fuel pump assembly called, And where to search for it, 94 Explorer

 

when i had to need one for my x i went to the parts store and asked fo a lockring that holds the pump to the gas tank and they showed it to me and that was it

 

The 94 Explorer was giving us so many problems, Try to get a rental trailor from U Haul-They will NOT let any Ford Explorer hook up to anything they rent that has to be pulled, U haul Says " I don't why the they still mfg these Piece of crap autos..
We traded for a Honda CRV,,, Great !!!!!

 

I've seen what a good ford and a good honda crv can do off road and I'll take the ford thank you. the honda would have to wait for me to make a path in the deep snow before he could go where i go...

 

lets see how much off road beating that honda can take lol the explorers will win all over them

 

Honda's are NOT made for off road, Explorers are not either, if you can get over 300,000 miles on a fix or repair daily i would like to see it!!!!-view the vid of off road racing and see what was the most durable all wheel drive --Honda # 1-Rav Toyota # 2, I will find the link and post it,,,,
And try to get U-Haul Rent A Trailor let a Ford Explorer Owners Try To rent A unit,,,, Will NOT Happen,,,------I will never own another Explorer---They are ok to look at-Sharpe Looking thats all,,,, They put Ranger Trannys in these so called SUV's which won't hold up for long,,,,Leaks Fluid, Oil,
Go on a long trip I guarantee you The honda will see you siting along the road broke down I will beep when I go around you----
I have had several Honda's, (This is the first CRV,) With over 300,00-100,000 mile warranty-Does Ford have this? Heck No----
CRV rides a heck of a lot smoother, No popping, Cracking, Smooth Shifting, 20 plus MPG! This is in town mail delivery,,, Ford got 10 if we were lucky----Good Luck All You Explorer Owners,,,,You will need it------And Thank You For All The Posting I needed for repairing My Explorer I sure needed it,,,,,

 

my explorer has 245 k miles on it right now

 

GOOD LUCK We all so have a 98 F-150 with 158,00, The only problems with it was , Tie rod Ends Snapped, Alternator,
I like Fords, Vans, And Trucks, BUT not the SUV-I have several friends who owned them Same Story, Trannys, Fuel Pumps, Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends, Water Pumps, Rust under carriage, Etc....And Wiring problems, Ralph Nader Tried to do a way with The Explorer,,, I ? how people were killed or injured because Ford And Firestone made error, ??????
Our insurance dropped big time,,, CRV is one of the safest CRV, Not SUV on the road------Oh well!!! we are :-) with our change
As the saying " There are Apples and there Are Apples????

Which part store did you find the fuel tank lock ring? I have tried Advance, Auto Zone, and Pep boys. My next stop is the dealership or a junk yard.
