6 SPD LOST GEARS
I just lost 3rd and 4th gear in my 6 spd trans this evening, transmission was a reman 15 months ago and I just now put over 10k miles on it. Full of Mobil 1 ATF and have a Dieselsite trans filter installed . Any ideas what went wrong? R,L, 1, 2, AND 6TH seem to work fine.

Hope you got a 16 month warranty. Sounds like it needs to come apart to fix this. But your OP leaves one too many gears to chance. It's either L-5 or 1-6. Is the problem shifting up and down, or just in one direction? Depending on which 2 of the 3 gears that are missing, it could be different things, but unfortunately, they all lean toward the same thing. Pull the transmission and replace the broken stuff.

Technically on the shifter its L, 1, 2, 3, 4 and D. Based on that 3 & 4 are gone. Was driving up the road in D, heard a heck of a grinding/clanking, truck jerked, shifter locked up, and they are gone. Shifting into those 2 are like being in neutral. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem.
