hey, If I was in their position I'd want someone to help me and my family too.....But Antony and Juli where the ones that stepped up to the plate, they deserve all the credit.
The owner of Veterans Ford is Robert Weinmann. They are a great place to deal with. I have bought two cars from them and never had a issue. They even replaced the trans under warranty in my wife's 10 escape 3k miles out of warranty
Awesome that you are guys are able to get this to come together!
Anthony and Julie thanks for making the trip to help them out! You have helped restore my faith in my fellow men and women of the world.
Now the $64 million dollar question........How has Kenny and the locals been to you guys? I worked 6 weeks in that area a year ago. For the most part the folks were hospitable, but leery of us Yanks that were there working.
As for the Ford dealer that was told by the Ford Zone to replace the pump and didn't......I think we need to start a internet campaign to make sure the public knows that they will not stand behind the warranty on parts. Granted this is a unique situation that I am sure they think they are getting screwed on, but they were told to make it right!
my friend had a stall on bumps symptom that got so bad it wouldnt start until shaked and would stall if the hood was closed. we chased the issue down to the wiring harness underneath the engines fuse and relay box. there are 3 connectors of wire groups under there if i remember correctly.
Anthony,
If you need any thing on this phone will be on.
2AM on this end.
Electrical troubleshooting can be a pain in the @$$ One thing that helps is if your meter has a beeper
for continuity testing. The beep is faster than the display when your doing wiggle testing. The other option is an old
analog meter and then the you have to watch the sweep of the needle.Because your working on an early model
I don't know if the books here will be a lot of help. Maybe some but not as much as an 03 electrical diagran
would be.
GOT IT GUYS!!!!! It wasn't the pump,,,, It wasn't the harness,,, it wasn't the ipr,,, it wasn't the icp,,,, It wasn't anything I thought.
Mike gets the credit!!!!!!
The 03's are known to be solid where we ended up. That's why I hesitated on it. It's embarrassing how long I've been here and what the issue is.
We just costed them money n time. I do not feel good about this. She spent 360 today on the oil cooler seal kit, blue spring, turbo seal, hpop cover seal, n some other stuff. If the pump wasn't warrantied,,, I would've bought it. Can't believe what it was. Has anyone,,,, ANYONE, ever had this happen? We haven't taken the other side apart yet. What are the odds both sides are like this??? Million to 1???? I know, I know,,, just take it apart. Wtf,,,, I'm bout done with 03's.
That is a quick disconnect fitting and not like our STC fittings that
tend to fail. I use that type of fitting in aircraft where there can't
be failures.
I don't think it would be a likely fail. That being said I would check both sides.
Who knows what was done with the injector replacement.
WOW!
I have to say that is one stout part but it really had to be cranked down on
for that to happen.
Sean
Wow! This has been a real nail biter!.....I hope that this is the only issue left and when replaced this thing fires up and they drive off into the sunset (or in this case the sunrise) lol, but with that thing being broken has it wiped out anything else??? I sure hope not, but being a newb to the 6.0 I really don't have a clue and will be glued to the screen until I know/ hear this thing running. I DO know that the guy to make that happen is ON THE JOB and I don't know anymore about Anthony than what I've learned here but this speaks volumes about his capabilities and just as importantly his character. Even though I live in Maine I would like someday to meet Anthony in person and shake his hand.......who knows, stranger thing have happened. I certainly know the Ford Gods should be in his corner for the rest of his life.
Glade to hear you found the problem . It hard to belive that fitting would have been snapped like that . I would check the other side and also AIR test the system before its put back together .
If they tore that up they could have nicked the O rings on the rail .
On my 03 it took 5 min of 100psi before the O rings showed a leak , I was just getting ready to unplug the air when they started leaking . Oh so close to not hearing it

I wonder how much MORE money would have eventually been spent trying to fiind that if you had not offered to help and if Mike wouldn't have helped with his advice???? Way to go Anthony and Mike! It truly was inconceivable to have 4 bad HPOP's in a row.
The quality of the original work seems to be incredibly bad.
I hate to say it, but I would not be able to sleep without checking the other side ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and I would do an air pressure test to make sure that there were no other surprises (if you haven't already done it!)!
