I just got the 08+ mirrors in today and will be installing them with a set of smoked turn signal lenses and the chrome mirror caps. I have been debating a set of Bushwacker pocket flares for the truck as well. I am trying to keep the overall Amarillo theme and will be putting the bed stickers back on as well (they were removed for paint work). I figured I'd keep the chrome bumpers and mirror caps for sure and now with the HD headlights I'm liking the chrome grille more. If there's any other pictures you guys want let me know. Just trying to make this as good looking as I can.
Great looking truck! I myself am debating over Pocket style flares or not how far out do your tires stick out? they will flow nicely if you had them painted yellow. Also you should look into getting the 08 mirrors painted yellow on the top cp part, the middle gap, and the tiny bottom part it looks nice IMO and would keep the black/yellow theme its your truck though do what you like best.
Truck looks great. Keep with the yellow, maybe a newer tailgate and taillights, plus 08 back bumper would be sick for the rear. I would leave the chrome off the mirrors but that's just me.
Looks good though. g
Any Interior shots?
08 Rear Bumper painted to match w/black plastic, smoked LED taillights & 3rd brake light, black N-Fab bars in place of the chrome oem's, about 1.5 inch Fender Flares painted to match (these are on my list too) & finally while the 08 Mirrors are a great idea please do NOT put any chrome on them
While its very nice looking already, I would love to see it after all these changes
I'm not a huge fan of yellow, but I do like your truck. Really like the diff covers. Did you put those on? If so where did you get them? I agree don't put the chrome on the mirrors. Not a fan of those. Also on the fender flares I would leave black. The only other thing a Iowa Hawkeye sticker.
Great looking truck. I'd do the flares. Maybe not pocket flares but definitely flares. The Bushwacker flares are over priced IMO.
The 08 mirrors will look great but, I'm not a fan of the phoney looking "chrome" accents.
Im like you and have the base color, black and chrome mixed in. Once my chrome starts to pit which isn't far away, it will all be painted with bedliner rattle can spray paint. A nice matte finish like the plastic trim. Then the truck will only have 2 colors instead of three.
No matter what you decide please share with us the result. I enjoy seeing everyone's version of a beautiful rig!
Youre off to a great start!

Mine stick out about 3" from the body. I'm torn between painting the flares or not. Painting them would probably flow better but the black would look good too. I'm not sure if I'd want to paint the entire mirror, maybe just the top part. The idea of the chrome caps is to keep the Amarillo theme.

With black fender flares you might consider all black wheels.
I think all black wheels would end up looking like steelies probably. They do on most vehicles. I just knew on this I needed a mostly black wheel because of the yellow brake calipers and wanted to show them off.

The tails are 08+ with tint. I want that gate too but its not worth 1000+ dollars to me. Seems like a lot of people dislike the chrome caps. Lol

I've though about paint matched bumpers but it usually looks like a utility truck then, plus I think it'll be too much yellow. I haven't seen a set of led tails that looks like it actually fits our t ucks. That's why I went with the 08+. I am gonna get the smoked led third brake though. Like I said above, I'll probably end up with painted pocket flares. I'll change the side steps eventually as well. If not chrome on the mirrors then what?
No flares!!!!!!! Do the 08 mirrors and get an 08 tailgate, i think that'll be perfect
Got the mirrors. Like I said, love that tailgate but not for 1000 dollars. Lol why no flares?

The diff covers are just finned aluminum eBay ones. I painted them the same color as the chassis and sanded the fins straight. The flares I can go either way. What should the mirrors be?

I think I need the pocket flares as I need something aggressive to cover the tires. As far as getting rid of the chrome I don't think it works well with the Amarillo. It usually makes it look like a utility truck with all the black or its just way too much yellow. On a white or black truck painted matched looks awesome but part of me wants to retain all of the Amarillo specifics.
