LOL. Mine did to until after this latest spout with the Power steering cooler. It had rubbed together for 28 years and leaked so bad. So after fixing that, I broke the freakin hose barb off the pump, so I had to get a new rear for it. Now it don't leak. One down, several more to go.

Mine was dry for about a week, leaky injector caps and a leaky rear main since day 1 of its rebuild. Stinking machine shop.

Shucks. I think my pas head gasket is leaking. Probably the main big oil culprit.

They aren't oil leaks, it's an advanced undercarriage coating rust prevention system.

Myth, the IDI shouldn't leak oil.

The former NASA rocket scientists then working for International Navistar researched and came to the conclusion that cause of the general laziness of Ford owners and long life span of their engine that something had to be done. So to reduce the need for oil changes they designed a large oil capacity, little need for oil, and a system to automatically expel the dirtiest oil. Then in an attempt to make the truck last as long as the engine they designed a system to coat the truck in oil expelling the waste oil at highway speeds to best distribute it evenly over the truck.

Perfect way of looking at it. Better hope the truck don't don't go up in smoke. Awfully hot fire there.

Great thread everyone. I am not even driving VanDOOM with the 460 yet and I am already contemplating a 6.9/7.3 swap.
