Battery corrosion
My battery's are a year old, maybe a little older. They've been dead a few times but charged back up. I'm dealing with bad corrosion, I'm currently not driving my truck. Every few weeks I'll have to clean and terminals, and charge battery's. I was thinking on replacing cables but is there something else I can do to kill the corrosion?

If you're not driving it for a few days or longer, pull one of the cables off each battery.
Secondly, you can use those little pads that go under each terminal; they can help.
Alternately, any auto parts store will sell some corrosion coating to spray on.

Clean off nasty stuff with a garden hose might be a good idea too. I'm fond of a mini solar panel or puny float charger on machinery/rigs that don't roll often. When a battery goes low, it starts eating itself up. Keeping the charge relatively normal really helps with life, and it is sure nice to just jump in and go.

Yea, I'll take and clean everything up real nice, and unhook my battery's when not in use. Another thing I need to do is replace my ground terminals. I have cheap lead ones that won't get tight. Y'all have any suggestions on what type?
