OEM TBC
Has anyone installed this on a 2012 F150 without the Tow Package.
I have been reading all I can find, but most of the OEM's I find are going on trucks with the towing package. I have NOTHING!!!
I know I can with Prodigy, but the OEM from Ford reads good.

AFAIK, if your truck did not come with the trailer tow package from the factory, the OEM brake control unit cannot be made to work.
you will have considerably more wiring to do to get your power and brake control to the rear of the vehicle.

Get a light and an inspection mirror and look around behind the dash where the controller is supposed to go. If you see four wires together write down the colors and I'm sure some body on this site can tell you if they are the ones. Best, CB

Thanks CB: I am going to check everything out, as soon as I get it back from the dealer shop next Thursday or Friday,if they can get the parts, for the Diff. whine.
I have asked the Dealer Parts dept. to quote me everything I will need to put the OEM on, but who knows what they will come up with.

Dealer says all I need is a Contol Module and a 9L3Z15416A Hitch Kit.
Behind the Bezel, I found a plug, plugged into the Coin Holder. Has a black, blue, and 2 white wires. IS THIS IT?
There is a box on the right side top of the rear axle. with a wieing connection from all the light wire harness going into it.
I haven't found a way out of the box for a plug in yet. (Fat old men need more room) But if these are where the connections need to be made, I am A O K for the ford TCB.

Update: I found the TCB plug taped close to the OBD11. I have a 4 plug connector at the rear bumper already. Have not figures where the brake plug will plug in yet. Hitch should be here 9/05, and I will frop the spare and have a look while I am under there.

I have been searching, and came up on this from another F150 site.
