DeeZee Tailgate Assist

I installed one today on my truck.

Man! I wish they had these around when I had my dually! Very impressed by how easy it was to install and its functionality!

I just installed one a couple of weeks ago. I love it. For around $30 there is no reason not to do it.

Thanks for posting about this, I didn't know they existed. It will help me when I wake up in the back of my truck after sleeping in the topper overnight. It's hard to lower the tailgate from inside the bed.

am i the only one who just pulls the handle and lets the gate drop?

makes a rather satisfying "thud" when it hits the cable, i always thought.

Does anyone have "any" idea if this would fit my old body style 97 250? None of the listings say so but I also find that lots of places don't bother to check to see if their stuff will work on older vehicles... It seems they are like Ford and other auto manufacturers, if it's over about 10 years it's too old to fool with..

You are not alone; that is the way I open mine half the time. My wife has a fit if I open the tailgate on her truck that way.
