I have been troubleshooting an erratic rough running condition. I retrieved a 15 code on a KOEO test. The code reader manual refered to this as a memory problem. The truck is an 1989 F-150 with the I-6. Does this indicate a bad computer processor and should I replace it? Can it be some other problem? Any comments will be appreciated.

I purchased the Haynes manual. I retrieved codes using a voltmeter and jumper. I got code 15 again and 67 from KOEO. The 67 code may be from when the AC was repaired last summer. I have been studying the proceedure for testing sensors and plan to attempt this soon.

You don't even need a meter to get codes. If you read this thread, you'll see that the engine light flashes the codes out.
