engine/ tranny rebuilds

hey guys, i found this truck that i really like only the engine and the tranny were both rebuilt, i know that it depends on who did the work but is this something that would make you nervous? thanks for the help. lifted f-150 with 35" tires

depends 100% on who did the work..... Now after a period of time, how does it run, how does it shift, does it smoke, easy start up ,, etc?

thanks for the help. I will definetly be looking into who did the work. this truck is actually for my brother, but i'm helping him look around.

If it was rebuilt properly, they are better than new. If they are just average rebuilds, it wouldn't make me nervous. If there was a critical mistake that was made, the issues usually show up immediately after the work is completed, so if it has been driven a while since then and has no issues now, it probably won't.

what exactly is done when an engine is rebuilt, i just assumed it was when the different parts that are worn out are replaced but im clearly not sure. thanks for your help
