I need some advice?

Hello all. I have a 79 f-150 with a 302 C-6 tranny.
My engine runs good. but when I'm driveing it feels like my truck is pulling some thing. could my tranny be sucking power from my engine some how. Or is my tranny trying to go out? about a month or two ago I put some of that lucas tranny fuild in it, did'nt do a damn thing. Could that lucas crap some how have gumed up my tranny? or hurt it some how?

Thank you all for your time

I need some advice?

Hi,

I would start by replacing the tranny filter and fluid. If this doesint help try some Seafoam or Trans X I've had good luck with these products myself. Another thing I might look for with the conditions you described is an exaust restriction, it may be just right to let the engine run fine but feel like you're dragging a boat ancore.

Good luck
