Interested in the shop that did your build for your upgraded transmission, can you share? I read about it in a post where the merits of a manual transmission swap were being discussed.

I am not familiar with the interior layout of the '91 or older Aerostars. One labels panel dimmer would control the brightness of the dash lights and instrument cluster when the running lights are on. The other, I'm not sure of.

Drivers window dies is usually a fuse or connector, it can be the control module. Cars get older, sometimes connectors go bad or wires can break internally. To track electrical problems down, you need an electronics manual with the schematics in question and some tools and basic electrical knowledge.

Hi! You seem to know a lot about aerostars, and I have couple problems with mine. There are two "wheels" in the aero, wich I dont know what they adjust. The other one is near your left knee and the other left from the rpm gauge, above the wiper switch. The lower one says "panel/dimmer" or something like that. Drivers window died, doesnt say anything + front window washer died to. I did check the fuses in the car. And my aero is -89 3.0 eddie bauer usa or something

You have a lot of nerve calling someone ignorant, we all have our own experiences and I find the HID lights very good in actual use. I have had them on my Mark VIII for more than 10 years with no one flashing me because they were too bright. If the lights are properly aimed they will provide very good illumination without blinding oncoming traffic or those that are ahead of me. I have been in some very serious downpours in central and south Florida and there is no light that is satisfactory in some conditions. The original lights on my Mark VIII were so bad that I had to pull off the road to be safe at times. I only suggested that people try a better light than the low wattage OEM bulbs that are in our trucks. Proper aiming is essential when making any change to the headlights. Opinions are like a** holes, everyone has at least one. I am very careful not to give bad advice, even to fools.

Well often the best place to start is to introduce yourself over in the introduction area. From there, find the sections that pertain to your vehicles and interests. If you have an issue, feel free to ask. While often the responses are just guesses or opinions, it is still great to get input from the community members.
