bed bolts buy new or used

i know Wade from Minute Man Trucking is a dealer on his site and he charges the same price that i paid for my new take off bed bolts. My take offs were brand new, truck got delivered to a dealer and the dealer removed the bed and added a service body. Anyway the bed clips are not threaded all the way so i went to the local hardware store and bought a 14mm tap and tapped the clips. i then double checked the bolts with a 14mm die an they were fine. I then completely covered the bolts with silver anti-seize and put them in, its been a year and a half and i removed them a few weeks ago and they came right out with no fuss. I wanted to double check the bolts to make sure they weren't getting rusty

Use which ever ones are not chineasium! Dorman is offshore too. I know Fasten All mostly chineasium. Hell Ford most likely sourced them from the other side of the earth too? So may not matter? I have had very bad luck with the inferior offshore JUNK fasteners. If you use the junk dont be surprised if you hit your brakes real hard and see your bed come sailing by you skidding down the road....

Thanks for the info, good idea about tapping, that way the bolts wont cut their own threads and maybe not gall. Also was good to know they are 14mm so about 9/16" thanks superdutyscaler. This will make it easier if I have to thread them a little more. I'm not putting them in my super duty I want to use them in my 69 f-100, I boxed the frame and won't have a way to get to the stock nuts, older trucks tighten from the bottom side. super duty bolts are about an 1 3/4 longer
