I buy from dieselfiltersonline.com they sell racor (who make the motorcraft) and ford. The racor are fine they are the same as ford.
Free shipping if you buy enough, so i'd get enough filters to get free shipping along with the air filter. The air filter lasts several years and only needs replacing when the filter minder starts to show considerable restriction, so that helps make the price better..
Well I was able to change the engine oil and filter, both fuel filters this morning. I will work on the other three fluids later today. The most difficult part was getting the lower fuel filter and cap out once it was unscrewed.
Those who suspected the oil filter cap was a Wix were correct. It was easy to see the name on the side when I started to loosen it. A new Motorcraft cap and filter are now calling that space home.
I took the X out on the road, I wanted to check the temperature differences with new oil. At highway speed, pulling between 2100-2200 RPM engine oil was about 15 degrees higher than water temp. It was this way before the oil change so not much variation between old and new oil. At idle temp difference is around 5-10 degrees. Is this what normal is supposed to be?
On a completely different note, I know big trucks and guns normally go together so anybody who is interested in MagPull PMags Gen2 & Gen3 for $12-$14 each with no limit please send me a message and I'll point you toward them.
Your temp difference aka delta is supposed to be measured at appx 65 mph for 20-30 mins at highway speed unloaded. That would be appx 1800 rpm. With you going faster your delta would naturally be higher.
