So I got all my supplies for my electric fuel pump install (probably do it tomorrow along with my gauges), but had a quick question. The vehicle is a '88 E250 7.3. I am going to be running a new 3/8" fuel line from the pump up to the fuel filter housing. I will install a new fitting into the housing with a barb fitting for the line, but I was wondering if anyone knew the thread for the fitting to thread it in? the fuel pump is 1/8" NPT, but I wasn't sure about the thread going into the fuel filter housing. I would much rather have it in hand then stop and run to the store to match it up. Thanks

 

I have an 86 w/a 6.9, mine is 1/4 npt. I would assume they would be the same. The od of 1/4 pipe is .540, 1/8 pipe is .405. You should be able to tell the diff even w/a tape measure.
