turn wheel or no start ?

turn wheel or no start ?
I can turn my ign. but unless I turn my wheel to the right a quarter turn truck won't turn over, I can hold the ign in start position but until I turn the wheel its dead ? any idea's, its a 89 f 250 4x4

Check the other thread you started on exactly the same issue. If you have the patience usually someone will answer your question, if you keep creating new threads on the same problem they will get lost on the thread list and you'll get fewer answers, you'll also push down the threads of others which might be needing more help than you, just something to keep in mind.

my mistake
i didn't think the first post was posted so I did it again, looked to see if I could delete it but didn't see how to do it?, thanks for the advice , I did put a new key switch in, also a new ignition switch at base of column about 5 months ago, also the metal piece that goes on fords in there I had replaced too by a ford mechanic, now 5 months later this problem, wondered if anyone else has had a problem like this, would make the repair a bit quicker since I use it every day, Todd S.
