Help, broke something in column!
my buddy was out working on his truck tonight, and he had it jacked up. He had to turn the wheels, and when he did the steeing wheel locked(like its supposed to with the key off). So he tried to turn the key to unlock the wheel, and it wouldnt turn, so he tried turning the steering wheel a little to release the ignition and something broke. Now he can turn the wheel, but cant turn the ignition switch. Which really sucks.
Anyone know how and what needs to be replaced inside there??

Sounds like you need to remove the ignition switch and check it out. Probably broke off some locking tab that got wedged in there. If you cannot turn the switch it is a real PITA to remove (remove steering wheel, drilling things out, etc). If it can turn, you turn it to the RUN position, and there is a hole under the column where you push in a small pin or punch and it releases a catch, allowing you to pull the whole keyswitch out (std Ford design). Disconnect the battery first so you don't have to listen to chimes drive you nuts.
