It was mainly the whole load range D vs E, but a little different because this D has a very high load limit unlike some smaller tire load D. Seeing if the skinnier sidewalls was a dealbreaker.
I pull a 9000# smoker trailer occasionally, normally just around the city but occasionally from lubbock to dallas (5-6 hours).
So yall, lets get some opinions.
Option 1:
Brand new Michelin A/T2 load range E (3750#) 285/75/16 with warranty for $1200. Total tire height is 32.8in
Option 2:
Less than 2000 miles used BFG All Terrain KO load range D (3415#) 295/75/16 for $650+mount. Total tire height is 33.2in (I like that its bigger, and also $500 cheaper which is almost half price)
Which would you choose and why?
